Work Running on Different Maps

This was such an interesting read I’m jealous of it. This article talks about how people are connected in a project or setting for different tasks to become accomplished.

A graphic depicting five types of organizational maps: Constraint map (who manages whom), Expertise map (who people actually ask), Decision map (who actually decides), Memory map (where the reasons live), and Spanning map (who bridges the gaps), each represented with different colors and connections.

I don’t know if there is any scientific backing to the thought behind the maps, but it’s food for thought and worth keeping the concept in mind. Enjoy it. I did.
