One thing about traveling, being in the woods, and purposefully disconnecting oneself from the shitstorm of the current geopolitical societal climate is the purposeful removal of one’s at hand tool set. It’s not ideal to try to take everything including the kitchen sink with you when you step away from your home base. That’s something that takes a bit of getting used to.
What am I rambling on about, you might be asking about now. I’m wanting to design and make things, but I’m not at home. That’s also the purpose of what all of this is shifting to. The question is how to be a craftsman at home and away from home using only the tools at hand in each place to bring both places together. Some items I can only make at home, but are useful at both places. On the other hand some items can be made at home or away at home and are only really useful at each individual place. What I’m getting at is that making stuff that’s useful no matter where you are is the goal.
Of course there is always camping equipment to keep in mind. I am the Camping Craftsman. It’s more than that, but I do have to showcase more stuff that has to deal with it. Also I like data. That’s something to noodle when it comes to adding that factor to the content.
It’s easier to come up with a plan after airing the thoughts.
Side note: I know this site is shit when it comes to layout. That needs some overhauling.
